Feeling Blue on Christmas

I’m a notorious last-minute Christmas shopper and purchased all of my gifts for my relatives and friends a few hours before Christmas Eve. Haha! For Christmas Day though, I got myself a dress a day before Christmas Eve. I really wanted to wear a no-fuss dress to our annual big family Christmas gathering because I know I’ll be running around after my little nephews. I love the drapey structure of this dress. It’s tied in the front to create a beautiful ruching. I was choosing between black and this midnight blue hue and I ended up getting the latter because I have so many blacks in my closet already. I think the dress is so elegant that I may have gone a bit overboard with it for a simple Christmas gathering. My mum said I looked like I was going to attend a wedding…I agree! Haha! But what the heck, I wanted to look festive on Christmas Day!

Dreaming of Winter

The idea of wearing a fur vest (or coat) in our country might be a bit insane but I just don’t give an "F" if I get stares or raised eyebrows for wearing one. Besides, I wore mine in the office where the air conditioning is extremely unbearable…a fur vest is not even enough! And oh, notice the red pumps? Pumps are not my usual shoe of choice but the festive red hue of this pair just called me and I know it would be a shame not to get the shoes. :)

Only 1 day left, my babes! Merry Christmas!!! Hope to get bitten by the Christmas bug no later than tomorrow. Haha!

Running Wild & Free

My two current fave pieces in my closet: a gorgeous zebra print cape (by young designer Vania Romoff) and a pair of distressed high waist denim shorts with chains. Expect to see these two in constant rotation.

Press Conference for Preview's Augmented Reality

Last December 9, Preview magazine held an intimate press conference for fashion bloggers and a few of the press at CAV Wine Shop and Cafe in Bonifacio High Street. They introduced the newest technological innovation called Augmented Reality (AR) which can be experienced by their readers via the December issue. 

Preview partnered with GMA New Media Inc (GMA NMI) for the development of Augmented Reality technology. According to Edna Belleza, senior VP and Chief Information Office of GMA NMI, "Augmented reality is the technology or process of combining a real-world scene with computer imagery. This often requires a camera, a screen and a trigger that start the AR experiece."

 

  

During the press conference, the Preview team also demonstrated how the AR in the magazine works. We got to see the virtual Solenn Heusaff, dressed in Tory Burch’s 2011 Resort Collection, talking and walking.her way around a virtual computer-generated world. It was pretty amazing.

Accessing the AR technology is easy. Just log on to www.stylebible.ph/preview_augmented_reality, and select the link that turns on the webcam. Point the print marker found on the lower left side of the front cover (look for the "P") in front of your computer's web cam and tilt the magazine in different directions and see Solenn jetset across four different and fabulous places.

Also starting this December, you can share your comments and reactions about the pages of this month’s Preview magazine through your mobile phone. Preview will also be available via Zinio starting January 2011. With this technology, you can have your copy of Preview in your desktops, laptops, phones or tablets, allowing you to read the magazine anytime and anywhere using your gadgets.

Solenn Heusaff, Survivor Philippines castaway and this month's cover girl, was also present during the presscon to answer queries from the media and bloggers.

A Fling With Animal Prints

Got this dress at a steal from Archive Clothing. I'm not so much into dresses but who could resist an animal print-chiffon dress with puffed sleeves and gold buttons? I know I couldn't. Wore this to Preview's Augmented Reality Press Conference last Thursday held at CAV, Fort Bonifacio. I got to meet the December ish cover girl, Solenn Heusaff, and was able to have a bit of chit chat with the Preview editorial staff as well.

Peacock Feathers

The colors on my blazer are inspired by peacock feather colors...my most favorite color fusion. As for the shoes, well, I've been eyeing them for quite some time now. I finally cave in to purchasing them when I spotted them at the St. James Bazaar. Wore this ensemble last week to another TV shoot -- this time with top fashion designer, Tina Daniac.
