A Bit Pea Cocky

So here I am, wearing the peacock-print pants which I got at 50% off from the recent Topshop sale. To say that I adore the print is not surprising. I got the pants in a size bigger than my regular size so that they would sit comfortably on my hips (I am all about low-waist pants right now, by the way). I think this pair is by far, my favorite out of all the pants I have in my closet. Wore it with a simple loose dress and finished of the look with a belt and silver accessories. To create volume on the dress, I tucked one side of it inside the pants. This trick always works for me.

I admit that this look is a bit too saccharine for my taste but I could not contest the girlish magic of that cheerleader skirt in the most gorgeous salmon color. Besides, I only got the skirt for Php200 (well, I only paid P200 because I had a P1,000 gift certificate) so I don't think I even have the right to complain. And I think the ribcage necklace did a sweet job offsetting this too-sweet-for-candy look a bit. Oh, one thing I really enjoy about summer is that I can wear blindingly bright nail polish hues without compunction. Just look at ze neon green nails I'm sporting here...can you say, "Woah!"?

 I finally got bitten by the midi skirt bug. I'm not so much into "frilly & giddy" pieces but this tulle midi skirt, in the prettiest blush hue, is an exception. Wore this skirt to an afternoon stroll in the fields, with the beautiful afternoon sun gleaming on my face.

Denim & Peacock Feathers

I promised myself I wouldn't buy anything from the Topshop Sale...but the call of the peacock feather print pants and the cropped denim corset was so strong. I wasn't able to resist it.

Oh well. Promises are meant to be broken anyway (well, sometimes).

Another music festival-inspired outfit. Wore this to the Coachella Bazaar last Saturday...a very fitting look, don't you think? I accessorized an otherwise simple and relaxed ensemble with a customized body harness. Oh, my love affair with chains and harness has just been rekindled.
