Sporty

(Jacket, Top, Skirt & Ankle Cuffs: H&M// Shoes: Zara// Bag: Phillip Lim// Cap: F&H// Earrings: F21// Gold Cuff: The Ramp)

Wore this ensemble to Day 3 of Philippine Fashion Week Holiday 2012. This look is obviously inspired by the sportswear trend of S/S '12 and completely displays the 'tomboy' side of me. Personally, nothing spells "tomboy" better than a bomber jacket and a trucker cap. The bomber jacket has been on my lust list ever since H&M released their S/S '12 lookbook months ago. I literally jumped (and squealed in silence) when I saw this luxurious satin jacket glistening on the racks of H&M on our last day in Seoul. I think this jacket and I...we were meant to have each other! Haha! I was supposed to pair this jacket with pastel pink jeans but that didn't work as the jeans were at the tailor's for some alterations. And so out came the mint skirt to save the day.

P.S. The veins on my feet are on steroids! Hahahaha!

Sea, Sand and Surf

(Polka Dot Bikini: Soak Swimwear// Floral Bikini: H&M// Cover Up: Sabrina)

Summer loving in La Union -- my favorite place to unwind, flirt with the waves and get burnt. These are two set of weekends' worth of photos. Not that much, I know. Most of the time, I didn't bother taking my camera to the beach as it was a bit of a nuisance lugging a contraption around and forever minding it. You might be yawning in boredom already with my infinite beach photos featuring La Union. What's new, right? But I just can't help it. I love this place so much and I want to share every single happy encounter I have of it with you. Now tell me...where is your favorite summer spot? :)

P.S. Please don't mind the flabs. I am not 'fishing' when I say this but I am fully wear that I don't have the best bikini body. I don't exercise and it shows. Well, to hell with flabs and love handles! Love your bodies!

Prints & Sequins

Tuesday, May 22, 2012

(Top & Shorts: Sheinside// Shoes: Alexander Wang// Bag: F21// Ring: Gold Dot)

I used to shy away from pieces with a chockfull of contrasting prints but the clever and playful mix of prints and colors in this top was hard to resist! And no, I didn't just stop with prints, I also went with a pair of sequined shorts, albeit in a not-so-flashy gold tone. Now, this outfit is something that's definitely hard to miss. I got these two lovely pieces from www.sheinside.com, a Shanghai-based online shop offering the latest streetstyle dresses, tops, shorts and more. If you wish to purchase the same top and shorts as mine, just click HERE and HERE. THE RAMP CROSSINGS PFW FALL/HOLIDAY 2012: A MIXOLOGY OF STYLE

On May 22 at the SMX Convention Center, watch as The Ramp, Mundo and The Ramp Kids, the in-house cult fashion brands of style-setting store, Crossings, further cement their sartorial standing with a sophomore show at Philippine Fashion Week.  To be directed by Robby Carmona and styled by Daryl Chang and Andre Chang, the show promises to veer from safe and traditional ready-to-wear pairings. The Ramp will feature a visual melange of prints and patterns in playful and sophisticated silhouettes to create a Mixology of Style.  Creative Director, Mario Barrientos and designer Macel Pangan, worked with paisleys, Zebra prints and cleverly contrasted these with sleek lines, peplums, flirty cutouts and thigh-high hemlines. For Mundo, double knit tops and cotton ensembles are awash in pastel and stripes, producing an effortlessly chic, weekend vacation look.

Take a sneak peek at the Fall / Holiday Collection of The Ramp Crossings’ with this teaser video created by Melvin Mojica, Jujiin Samonte and Paulo Castro.

When The World Slips You A Jeffrey...

Tuesday, May 15, 2012

(Jacket: Twinky// Vest: F21// Top: Daley Tees// Jeans: Zara// Boots: Jeffrey Campbell)

...stroke the furry wall.

It rained on our third day in Seoul and the weather became extremely chilly (I was not prepared for it at all!). The accompanying wind was so strong that it broke my cute but frail umbrella. I was originally planning on wearing the faux fur vest with just a simple white shirt but the cold weather called for more layers. I didn't have enough warm jackets with me so I took my chances and paired the vest with a fuzzy jacket. In the end, I was satisfied with the overall look.

P.S. The title of this post is in reference to the song, "Furry Wall" from the movie, "Get Him To The Greek". :)

Bloggers United Strikes Three!

Third time’s the charm for the most anticipated fashion bloggers event in the country!

Bloggers United is staging their third bloggers bazaar this June 2 at the Grandview Events Place to gather Manila’s top fashion bloggers once again in one single venue outside of the World Wide Web. After holding two successful events last year, Bloggers United has easily become one of the most anticipated affairs for both fashion bloggers and readers in the metro.  More than just a bazaar, Bloggers United also partners with charitable groups to use and channel their influence in a positive manner.

Through the overwhelming power of social media and blogs in today's generation, the previous Bloggers United events have successfully joined forces with top fashion bloggers like Laureen Uy, Camille Co, Kryz Uy and many more to inspire their followers and to raise funds for various beneficiaries,  namely KIDS Foundation and GMA Kapuso Foundation. This time around, the event will benefit Operation Smile Philippines.

The event gets better and better every time! To make Bloggers United 3 even more momentous, top Indonesian fashion blogger Anastacia Siantar of The Brown Platform will also be selling alongside Cebu fashion bloggers and our very own top celebrities Divine Lee & Sarah Meier.

So, if you love blog-reading and blog-hopping, Bloggers United is sure to be the perfect end-of-summer bazaar for you. Not only will you be able to bump elbows with your favorite bloggers at the event, but you will also be able to snag some of their own stylish statement pieces as they open their closets to sell to the public. Stay-up-to-date with the biggest gathering of bloggers by following us on Twitter (twitter.com/bloggers_united) and Facebook (facebook.com/bloggersunitedph), and bookmarking our official webpage (bloggersunited.org).

Perforated Leather

Thursday, May 10, 2012

(Top: H&M// Trousers: Zara// Heels: Mango// Clutch: Made U Look// Eyewear: Karen Walker// Cuffs: The Ramp// Gold Hair Cuff: Gold Dot)

Wore this to the grand launch of Zalora PH last nite. The attire theme for the event was "Dress To Impress". It has been a looong time since I last attended a night-time event and I honestly had a hard time coming up with an appropriate look for the party. I tried on a lot of looks but I ended up with my favorite printed trousers, a perforated faux leather top (which showcases my super toned arms...I'm kidding of course) and my new Mango heels. Not sure if this look translated well as a dressed-to-impress look but I was quite oh-kay with it. You're never going to see me in a tight and mini body conscious dress to a party anyway (well, not any time soon). The Zalora event was held in Skye Lounge, a posh bar of sorts with an open-area. While the weather was very humid, I had a fun time chatting with fellow bloggers and a few gorgeous ladies from the Zalora team. It has been a long time since I last saw them.

Congratulations to the Zalora PH team for a wonderful event. Here's to revolutionizing the online shopping scene!

P.S. I obviously love my blue Carry All Bag from Made U Look that I had to use it again. :)

Graffiti

(Jacket: H&M// Shirt: SPAO// Jeans: Zara// Boots: Tophop// Cuffs: H&M// Rings: Gold Dot// Shopper Tote: Ombre, from Seoul)

Working with blue and green tones this time. I've had my eye on this H&M ombre jacket for quite a while and I wasn't expecting that I'd be able to get my hands on one since it's already sold out in most H&M stores. To my surprise (and delight), I saw a couple of pieces in one of the H&M stores in Seoul. I didn't even think twice. I instantly snapped one and paid for it immediately at the counter. One obsession pinned down, a lot more to go. Haha! I didn't plan on wearing the jacket right away but I figured that it would go well with the long sleeved mint shirt that I got from SPAO (a local Korean brand). I needed to cover myself up badly as I didn't expect the weather in Seoul to be that chilly (it was freezing cold at night!). While I did pack jackets for my trip, my inner tops weren't as thick or long as I had wished them to be. Wearing a long-sleeved shirt together with a jacket was a good decision as it kept me from shivering while exploring the cherry blossom-lined streets of Seoul.

I have a lot more photos of our stay in Seoul so stay tuned for those!
